Why did we develop this program?

Let’s briefly outline three reasons under each group below:

1. UNEMPLOYED AND THOSE WHO EARN LOW INCOME:
Unemployment rate: It has increased by 32.9% (Stats SA in May 2023)
(This report includes University graduates, who spent many years learning for skills or profession hoping to get a better job)
Job loss
(Many people have lost their jobs especially in 2021 and 2022 as a result of covid 19 pandemic. Even those who are working, are still not sure about their future due to retrenchment as many companies are struggling to cope with global economic crises and global business competition)
High Inflation: (In May 2023 inflation rate was at 6.3%)
As a result, those who are employed do not only struggle to pay their monthly expenses but they also struggle to pay debts due to high inflation rate. Additionally, they have to support many family members who are unemployed in the household.
Another problem affecting employed ones is that if you are lucky enough, your salary increases once a year while food prices increase many times a year. Cost of living is becoming very high. e.g.: Few years ago bread was only R8.00 but now it is about R18.00. Petrol was about R2/litre but now it is more than R22.00.
Please do not misunderstand us, it is absolutely not wrong to be employed but in these difficult days we need to have another stream of income in case we lose our job and we do not find another job or we want extra income as we strive to pay debts.
So this coaching program has been developed and designed to empower unemployed, support those who earn low income and assist small business owners to grow their business. The business must grow or it will die. We have developed plenty practical skills and proven programs.

2. BUSINESS OWNERS/ENTREPRENEURS: Many business owners lost income in the past few years due to covid-19 pandemic. Some business owners had no other option but to close their businesses and some are still struggling to keep their businesses running. Promises were made by government to support SMEs through funding process but many reported that they had never benefited from that money. The purpose of this program is to support business owners with skills that will enable them to grow their businesses or we will equip them with knowledge that will help them to create multiple sources of income: We have plenty tools that have been designed with small businesses in mind.

3. SENIOR CITIZENS:  The fear of new technology: Technology is moving at a very fast pace and this can be quite intimidating to senior citizens. The technology of yesterday is just a story today. This can be overwhelming for anyone, including seniors. New updates, apps, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other features seem to emerge daily, making it challenging to keep up with the latest trends.

TIP: The key is to recognize that you don’t need to master every aspect of technology. Focus on what is relevant to you and your interests. Take your time to learn the basics first and gradually explore more advanced features as you become more comfortable.

Some seniors try to ask for help from family members, friends but unfortunately, although, these ones are willing to help but they do not always have time. What can senior citizens do?

This is where our coaching program comes in. We are here to assist you. Our coaching and supporting program has been developed to assist you to overcome the fear of using modern technology. During this program you will be encouraged to embrace the modern technology and benefit from it.

We will use our experienced certified facilitators, who are also certified care givers for elderly ones. Once they go through our caregiving training, they will understand how important it is, to coach and support seniors with respect, dignity and patience.

They will also have valid criminal record check before being used for your personal safety. They will also be certified in computer literacy and qualify to teach technology.
